Back after a little over a week on vacation for Thanksgiving. Broke my rear shift cable this morning so rather then ride in the top gear I tied the broken cable into my rear rack and have just a single gear to ride in. Will pick up a cable tonight after work at Performance.

Hey I was doing my own video this morning and came up on my friend who was also doing a video and had him give me a copy and managed to sync the two together for about 1 minute of video of myself with two view points. The big picture is of my cameras view and the PIP is of his camera at the same time. So I think this is quite unique enjoy.

This is a strange thing they have done on Lake Pine. They added parking in front of some houses and they have a bike lane on this road so they moved the bike lane out. I don't know but If I lived in these houses to the right I would be mad. That the Apartments to the left are allowed to park right in front of my house. The really dumb thing is that I have never seen a car parked here yet and these have been here a month or so now. More waste of my Tax money.

Well last night on the way home it was raining and about half way home the bike started to feel funny in the rear. Stopped and found the rear tire side wall tearing. So I reduced the pressure to almost nothing to keep the tire from exploding and rode to the bike shop and picked up a new tire.

Here is a picture that can drive me nuts. I am forced to ride in the bike lane on this road. But as you can see from the picture there is a sidewalk there also. Now notice the runner that is running in the Bike Lane. I never understand how these people justify what they are doing. This person is forcing me out of the bike lane so that I won't hit them. Why don't the runners run on the side walk? You can see the bike symbol just ahead in this shot.

Good ride but mentally I was not there. First I forgot my vitamins this morning. Then I get to the store to buy lunch for the day and realized I forgot my wallet so no lunch to day. But the bad thing is no wallet means no badge for work. That means I have a problem all day. The bathrooms are located outside the secured area so you need a badge to go to the bathroom....

Food is not really a problem since I keep enough other things to eat like oatmeal and powerbars in my desk I have done this before....

Hey I just discovered a new bike store in Cary. Performance has opened up a store that is not too far off my route so that is good.

My Linux box at work that holds the database that I use to build this page crashed hard on Friday and died. Luckily I had a database dump with all the data for the days ride so I did not loose any data. But naturally I had to search down another computer to use as my Linux server and install all the software. Still not done but the APP that I created to work with the database was written in Ruby on Rails so I just moved it to my WinBlows laptop this morning and loaded up the database and entered all the rides since then and all is fine till I finish rebuilding my box.

Tarbert Drive passing Annie L Jones Park. Now there is something that is about to happen. This truck is about to make a left turn right as I go across this entrance to this parking lot. No turn signal nothing. He came with 1 inch of taking me out. I ended up having to go up and over the sidewalk to avoid being hit. Luckily there was a cut out so I did not have to try to jump the curb at the same time I am avoiding being run down. Needless to say he was reported to both the town since it was a town truck and the Police.

Monday Night ride. I'm finally free to go. But then my manager was trying to make me miss it! Didn't get out till 5:10pm and it takes me about an hour to get there, Well I did in 55 minutes and they hadn't left yet!

Rode the greenways and boy was there Mud everywhere since they tend to follow the creeks. Some parts were destroyed and others you could see the mud that had to be removed.
