Wednesday Morning
Interesting ride this morning. Started off great but then twice in a very short time span I was pushed around. The first was a big old 18 wheeler. Passed with good distance but since the road is only a narrow two lane road he moved over way to quick and shove me almost into the grass. Then about 2 minutes later I can hear a person on their horn but there is a line of cars so I can't see him yet but from the sound of the horn maybe five cars back. Well this idiot comes right for me with the horn blazing. So being the person that likes life I left the road to keep it. He was most likely trying to scare me but why take the chance I let him scare me. But I couldn't get his plate to report him.

GREAT weather. 75 almost no wind. Too bad I have commitments on Wednesday Evenings because I couldn't extend my ride tonight to enjoy. Not tomorrow either. Well if I can get off work early I'll extend it. It is supposed to be even nicer tomorrow! My max speed was higher then usual. My max speed was up. I guess that's why I had to break so hard on the really nice downhill when the car right in front of me was making a left into a park.

Monday Morning Ride
Oh boy was this ever a bad day. Started out fine but then I ended up about 6 miles from home with a very soft tire. First flat in about 7,000 miles. Pulled to the side of the road and removed the flat tube and pulled out a new tube and threw it all back together and here is where I can only say God had a hand. I could not inflate the tire!
I went through 4 CO2 bottles and the air just kept escaping out of the handle to the CO2 valve. So I was finally out of CO2 and called the wife to come and get me. At home I just took out the floor pump and pumped that baby right up! But Since God did not want me to ride I drove in this morning. Sometimes you just have to take the hint and do what you are told to do.

Friday Morning Ride
Had to change my rear tire last night since the sidewall was developing a split in it. So I did my usual. Take the front tire and put it on the rear and place the new tire on the front. I only managed to get 7,456 Miles on that rear tire due to the fact that 1059 miles into its life on the rear this happened. Should have been able to get another 3000 miles on it at least.
The LBS also sold me a new rear light. My wiring for the front generator light acted up and since the front light was not using all the juice the rear bulb blew. While talking to them they convinced me to get this light that goes on the rear fender that is all electronic. It is a Red LED light that charges up a capacitor and will stay lit for up to 4 minutes after you stop. Since it is electronic it is overvoltage protected! It is called Seculight Plus. Just had to drill a couple of holes in the fender and run wires for the light and now I have a new rear light.

Good quick ride today. But I did have one idiot get way too close. How this person did not hit me I don't know. But as soon as one person does that I move over and take the FULL lane. It is really annoying to people when I do that but then again all it takes is one idiot to kill. By taking the lane they can't do that anymore. Yell all you want but this state gives me every right to take the full lane while riding. I don't share well when you don't.

Rather strange ride tonight. Seems all the looneys are out. I hate Bike Lanes people just ignore you when you are in them. On a local road here there is this huge sign that says right turn YIELD to bicycles. You would think people would see that and obey it. But when you have a poor design in fact stupid design that puts the through bike lane on the right of a car that is turning right you are asking for trouble. But this idiot was just pushing it to the max. I actually was not even in the Bike Lane since it is such a poor design but this person just wanted to try and run me over.

Had to go to the LBS to pick up some parts. I haven't been there since my Company moved last moth. I used to be 3.5 Miles from them. Well now it is far enough that I can't go at lunch I have to go after work. So heading to the bike shop and home is 21+ miles. It took just over an hour because of traffic. I'll have to find another way to head there because only have an hour after work to get there for the Monday Night Shop Rides. It shouldn't be a problem. I have about 3 or 4 ways to head there some longer then other's but may be quicker.

Wednesday Night Ride
Rode slow tonight. Actually the day almost ended as bad as it started. But did not. It just annoyed me. First off it did not rain all day after this morning so about 4:00 PM I notice it real dark out. Rain is just pouring down. But by 5:00 pm it has stopped. The roads are soaked but so what. It looks pretty good out and still 63. Go down the elevator walk out side and before I can get going it starts pouring again. So I'm under the tree I lock my bike to and I put on my rain suit. 63 is too cold to ride in the rain.
Any who I go about 3 miles and it isn't raining anymore so I stop and strip off the rain suit and throw on my long sleeved tee. I arrive at home without further rain. I'm damp from sweat and splash from wet roads but other then that it was actually a good ride but I was going REAL slow! Don't know why just one of those days.

Strange day. Well not really strange but things that normally do not happen happened. Start the day off with a flat when I go to get on the bike. Second flat in 19,895 miles. So you know that is strange. The problem is not something in the tire it is a ripped valve stem? Strange since I have been riding on this tire for 2 months now and I haven't put air in since last week.
Okay get another tube out and put it all back together. Fill the tire slowly but somehow I still miss the tube sneaking out goes off like a shot gun. Now I can't hear because I am in my carport so that sound just blasts me. Great two tubes down only one left. Also I have Hokey spokes on my front wheel one of them is now broken and the front wheel is out of true. That was some blast.
Well put the last tube in and realize that now I don't have spare tube and no patch kit. I don't believe in patch kits since I never get flats. Two flats in 19895 miles is almost 10,000 miles between flats. But in reality at last flat I had was on the bike when it was new before putting on the good tires and that was around 6,000 miles so it really has been some where around 13,000 miles since my last flat.
So Since I lost so much time this morning I had to take the short way into work. So
